    I disassembled my brothers bike

So for backstory we have a small entryway and my younger brothers (7yo 9yo and 11yo) always leave their bikes there
  • 03
instead of putting them in the garage like they're supposed to. So today I come home from work and what do you know... a
  • 04
tripping hazard left right in the middle of the entryway, didn't even lean it against the wall (which would still be annoying).
  • 05
At this point I'm tired but also pi ed so I find out whose bike it was and I tell 7yo to put it in the garage side note, the garage
  • 06
door was open at the time. He just mumbled something incoherent and walked off. (I have to admit, he might've been mad
  • 07
because I had $20 cash laying around and I called 7yo and 11yo to do a "challenge" for the money. Then I walk out to the
  • 08
bike and ask whose bike it was and 11yo was quick to inform me that it was 7yo. afterwards I gave the money to 11yo.)
  • 09
I go to 7yo's room to find him sitting on his bed watching TV!! I start pressuring him to go put it in the garage and after 4
  • 10
minutes of back and forth and no result I ask him why he even put the bike in the entryway to begin with, and he said "well they never
  • 11
open the garage" (he was talking about his other brothers) WELL, THE GARAGE DOOR WAS OPEN WHEN I ASKED!!!! So I tell him
  • 12
that I will put his bike in the garage myself "piece by piece". He didn't seem to mind and kept watching TV so I spent 30
  • 13
minutes taking apart his bike and put it all in one pile, and let me say that felt so good
  • 14
randomlyrandom89 Not telling us his reaction is like missing the punchline of a joke. I need closure....
  • 15
SorryNarwhalhorn OP He's been avoiding me ever since but I just seen him sitting by the sidewalk with the bike stand in his hand. I kind of feel bad

Strict-History-3802 Don't feel bad offer him this if he never does it again you will put it back together and if he does it again you will take it apart again and he will have to figure out have to put it back together himself.
  • 18
Beneficial-Task-2307 it would be nice of you to offer him that you can reassemble the bike together if he promise to put it in the garage.

ShotBad5603 my parents had a similar problem with my brother and clothes so my dad put my brothers clothes in the trunk of his car. 30 yrs later my brother picks them up.

Economy-Dirt-1668 He had every chance to do the right thing. You did warn him.

GetOffMyLawnYaPunk When I was about 5 or 6, my little brother & I played Junior Mechanic on Dad's 1953 Chrysler Imperial. You'd be surprised how much two little kids can take apart with just a couple of Phillips screwdivers.

RJack151 He will definitely remember it.
